St. Paul’s brought home the team banner for both girls and boys cross-country running qualifying race this past weekend!
There were runners in town from all across the Avalon as far as Placentia, Trepassey, Salmonier Line as well as most metro schools. Our girls team dominated – we had four girls start the race and all four finished in the top ten. Brynn Furlong won the race! Sarah Pace finished 3rd, Reagan Gibbons finished 5th and Annika Healey finished 8th. Therefore we got individual gold and bronze as well as team gold medals and a top team banner for the school which they all signed.
Reminder that there will be no classes tomorrow (October 7th) for students due to a staff Professional Development day. As well, there are no classes on Monday, October 10th. Enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday!
Thanks to all who donated to our food drive and/or the Walk to Breakfast. Thanks again to Ms. Rowe and all the volunteers who made this morning such a success. Now let’s ensure pledge sheets and money are returned so that donations can be matched by the Kids Eat Smart Foundation!

Thanks so much to Ms. Rowe for all her work with the Breakfast Program, and her organization of a big breakfast, the walk, and other activities planned for Thursday morning.
Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected this week. All food collected will be given to the St. Paul’s Church food bank next door. Let’s help them fill their shelves!
