Welcome to St.Paul’s incoming Principal

The school community of St.Paul’s Junior High would like to welcome Mr.Rodney Drove as the incoming principal for the coming school year. Also best wishes go to Ms.Pike and everyone wishes her well in her new position.

Many may already know Mr.Drover from his position as principal of Virginia Park Elementary.

Back to School Preparations…..

For all new and returning students please note there is no specific school supply list. As always we ask students come prepared daily with the basics such as exercise books, pens, pencils, erasers, and any other items as parents and guardians you think will assist your child in having a successful day at school.

If parents/guardians are looking for documentation for medical concerns regarding their students it can be found on the NLESD website or here medical forms.

It is imperative that all documentation be with students are the beginning of the school year.

Please note if there is a reason that parents or guardians need to come to the school, there will be someone at the office on Monday, June 27th and Tuesday, June 28th between 9 and 12.

Last Day of School!!!

Please note that for Thursday, June 23rd all students are expected to arrive at school in the am as per normal schedule. The buses are running their regular routes.

During the morning the year end assembly will take place, unfortunately there is not sufficient room based on fire regulations to invite parents and guest. Therefore Ms.Cox will be taking picture of all award winners and forwarding the pictures via email to parents and guardians.

Please make sure your most current email is up to date on Power School.

New Recreational Facility in Our Community!

Did you know that construction is ongoing for a new recreation facility, the Paul Reynolds Community Centre to replace the Wedgewood Park Recreation Centre?

With a planned completion date of January 2017 the City of St. John’s is interested in hearing from current and potential users on the public programs to be offered at the facility.

Drop in to our two public open houses:
1. Sunday, June 5, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Macdonald Drive Junior High
2. Wednesday, June 8, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Macdonald Drive Junior High

We want to hear about the kinds of recreation and leisure programs you are interested in for you and your family.
