Through the generosity of Johnson Inc, once again this year Memorial University will be accepting applications for the Johnson Horizon scholarship. This is a prestigious program that rewards engaged student leaders with leadership learning opportunities. 50 awards will be offered to Grade 9 students across the province valued at $1200 – $200 to be received in August of this year and $1000 to be applied to tuition upon entry to Memorial University. One student per school can be nominated. Interested students should see Mr. Osmond for more information and an application form.

As a reminder, St. Paul’s will host our annual ‘Active Living Day’ on Friday, March 24th. Students and staff will be going to the Techniplex for the afternoon to participate in a number of different activities. We will have our SPJH science fair in the cafeteria and LRC after school today. Students participating will go downstairs at the dismissal bell and will remain there until 5:00. Parents and friends are invited to have a look at the projects between 4:30 and 5:00. Thank you to all judges!

Spring Fling is a concert, dessert party, and raffle that takes place on Sunday March 26. Proceeds from this fundraiser support our breakfast program and music program. Tickets to this event are available at the school office. It is a delightful afternoon that showcases the musical talent of our students at St. Paul’s. Please join us for a wonderful good time.
Report cards were released today! To accommodate student-parent-teacher conferences, students will be dismissed at 12:07 on Thursday. There are no classes for students on Friday – the staff will be working on school development.
Conferences will be held in the gym from 2:00 – 7:00 on Thursday on a first-come, first-served basis. If you think you will require more than 5-10 minutes with a teacher, please email to make an appointment to see them at a mutually-convenient time.
There will be a bake sale on Thursday during conferences to support Zaira’s Make 150 Count fundraising effort. Funds raised will support a The Gathering Place and Habitat for Humanity.
On Friday, we introduced new guidelines at St. Paul’s for the use of mobile devices/cellphones during the school day. The information is contained in our newsletter as well, but you can also view it by CLICKING HERE.
