Take Our Kids to Work Day is an initiative which allows the entire community (parents, teachers, employers and workers) to play a part in the career development of Grade 9 students who participate in this job shadowing experience. The primary objective of Take Our Kids to Work Day is to link classroom learning with the workplace and to enhance students’ understanding of the jobs in their community.
Take Our Kids to Work Day is taking place on Wednesday, November 4th. The arrangement of job shadowing placements is the responsibility of students/parents/employers. All of the resources for Take Our Kids to Work Day can be viewed and downloaded from the Learning Partnership website at
*Please note: This is not considered a school-arranged work placement such that there is no Workman’s Compensation Board coverage provided to participating students. If parents/guardians decide to participate, they are responsible for the safety of their children while at their workplace.
